My name is Cheryl Coffey and it gives me great pleasure to introduce myself as the Competition Director of Terpsichore Dance Celebration.  

 

After 17 very successful years bringing you the competition you expect and deserve, Terpsichore is changing hands. Along with my sister Cathy, we will continue to keep the integrity and professionalism that you have come to know and love from Scott Kufske and Craig Lanning. With all of the guidance and experience passed onto me, this is going to be an amazing year for us all! I am truly blessed to have Scott and Craig as mentors as I take on this new role. I can’t thank them enough for all they have done!  

 

As the founder and former Artistic Director of Coffey’s Danc’n Place Ltd (CDP), as well as a well-known adjudicator across North America, I have great insight into the competition world. After 35 successful years running CDP, I sold it and passed the torch to two former students in 2016. Since then I have had plenty of time to adjudicate and choreograph across the country, but my itch to be more involved in the industry I love continued to grow. That’s when I ran into my long-time friend Scott and this fantastic opportunity presented itself. As Terpsichore Dance Celebration transitions into its 18th season I am thrilled beyond words to bring some new and exciting changes coupled with the tried and true to take Terpsichore Dance Celebration to the next level.

 

I want to thank all who have been a part of making Terpsichore the huge success that it is and I hope to continue to have a great relationship with each and every one of you. After all… as teachers, parents and competition directors we are building childhood memories to last a lifetime.
